Propaganda: ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause (merriam-webster)
Shameless Propaganda: “We all want our children to feel safe in this world,” said Meryl Chertoff, wife of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, at a ceremony held at the John Tyler Elementary School to announce the partnership. "And who better to do that than our Sesame Street friends, Grover and Rosita!”
Oh, yes, we want them to feel safe. But how can 3 year olds really feel safe unless we first make sure they know how much there is to be afraid of? And who better to tell them how dangerous the world is than the out-of-control, jack-booted fascists at the Department of Homeland Security.

Personal question: I'm wondering if you plan to vote in this upcoming election.
While I agree that many things are not the way they should be in this country, we need to be positive about the possibilities of seeing some things turned around. And, of course, we need to pray for our great nation daily.

I absolutely intend to vote, however, I will be voting for a 3rd party candidate. It really doesn't matter which one (in fact, I'll vote for Ron Paul if a write-in is available) because none of them have a shot at winning. I have had people tell me that I would be "wasting" my vote by doing that; personally, I believe that I would be wasting my vote if I didn't. Voting for the "lesser of two evils" just isn't something that I want to do anymore. As an American, I expect (and shouldn't we all?) the "better of two goods". Barring that, I will exercise my option to dissent. My candidate won't win, but at least my integrity will remain intact.

Thank you for responding. I intend to vote for the 'lesser of two evils', because he does have a correct view of traditional marriage, as well as the Second Amendment; he opposes government control of health care, is against abortion, and will have the opportunity to appoint pro-life supreme court justices.
And the alternative is truly alarming.
